Brouse McDowell Announces Election of Executive Committee Members

Brouse McDowell, a leading regional business law firm, is pleased to congratulate Daniel L. Silfani, recently elected, and Patricia A. Gajda re-elected to the firm’s Executive Committee.

Serving his inaugural term on the Executive Committee, Dan Silfani is a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice group working out of the Akron office. Dan has a broad range of expertise on all aspects of corporate law and transactions, franchise and business opportunity law, as well as various public finance matters. This includes franchise development and operations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, general corporate counseling, and acting as issuer’s, underwriters or bond counsel with respect to taxable and tax-exempt conduit bond transactions. Dan is a member of the Akron, Ohio State and American Bar Associations. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Finance from The University of Akron where he graduated magna cum laude, his Master of Arts degree in Taxation from The University of Akron and his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve School of Law. Dan is a resident of Akron, Ohio.

Elected in 2013 and recently re-elected to her third term, Pat Gajda was the first woman to sit on Brouse McDowell’s Executive Committee. Pat is the Chair of the Corporate & Securities practice group and works primarily out of the Cleveland office. Pat’s practice focuses primarily on Mergers & Acquisitions, general corporate counseling, joint ventures, general contract transactions and securities matters. She has advised and consulted with both privately-held and publicly-traded companies. Pat is a past-President of the Ohio Women’s Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the American Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Ohio Women’s Bar Association, and Ohio State Bar Association. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Economics from John Carroll University where she graduated magna cum laude, and earned her Juris Doctorate from the Case Western Reserve School of Law where she also graduated magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. Pat is a resident of Broadview Heights, Ohio.
