Expanded Medicare Reimbursement for Virtual Care Likely in 2019

Brouse McDowell Associate Joe Bucaro discusses what health care providers can expect from a proposed CMS rule that expands Medicare reimbursement in 2019 with the creation of three new virtual care codes. Joe notes that CMS now only provides reimbursement through telehealth services, which he says requires patients to be at physician offices, hospitals, and other health care centers. He examines the new virtual care codes and nuances to each.
